It works and looks pretty realistic. My only complaint is that it breaks too easily. Pieces broke off while opening package and rather than wait to send it back I just super-glued it together. The outer shell needs to be thicker material to keep from breaking so easily.

It didn’t scare away the mallards
they look great, but didn’t frighten the ducks in the least.

Works well if it’s not in the water
This was effective in keeping away the ducks when we placed it outside of the pool. When it’s floating in the pool the ducks catch on that it’s a decoy

Realistic
I knew it would be smaller than expected based on reviews I read. I think is very realistic looking and I am happy with the purchase. I think it is a little overpriced!

Catches your eye…
Great item. Guests take a second look before getting into pool. Keeps ducks out.

crocodile
Crocodile is made of a resin material very life like with its open jaws. It is not full size though, but it floats very well in the water. We purchased it to keep the ducks from landing in our pool. So far it has worked.

JUNK – Fell apart in only days
This is suppose to be for a pool, and in a matter of only days it was cracking and fell apart without even touching it. NEVER get this if you plan on actually having to put it in a pool to keep birds away. I have a plastic one that i have had for 5 years and only the fact that it was fading did I get a more expensive one but it was a waste of $.

it worked
I put it in my neighbors pond and it scared the heck out of one of his dogs, the other dog kept trying to get it to play.

Don’t purchase anything unless new
I purchased item said not new but used and good condition. Was not..had 1 major break on mouth and smaller break on 1 leg…gave 1 star only because it requires you to pick at least 1…but I give it a 0

Works, but already cracked after a month!
Scares the ducks, but it already cracked on the bottom. I don’t think it is going to last too long.

Great decoy, looks and feels lifelike
This thing looks real and even floats, worth the money, keeps the ducks and critters away!

scary gator
We bought this to see if it would keep geese off of our beach, it has been one month and no more geese messes to clean up. This has done the job. We are very satisfied. I did not know if geese in Nebraska would be scared of alligators..

Returned! The ducks loved it! Thought it would deter them! Wrong! Lol
Dandelyn Pinkerton –
Disappointed
The product was broken at the mouth when I received it. It’s super flimsy. The material it’s made of is some kind of cheap foam that breaks easily. It’s not worth the money at all. Disappointed

Crocodile Float
I love this item, worked perfect for our Africa night party! We live on a lake and wanted to tie it to the dock, so my husband did have to attach a hook with epoxy so we could tie it.Worked great and everyone loved it!

Maybe LA ducks are just really smart.
Smaller than I expected, although that may say more about my expectations than the product. It didn’t fool the ducks in my neighborhood one bit, though. There’s one in my pool right now…. much to my chagrin.

Looks real but not made to last
I purchased this crocodile a couple months ago to keep the ducks out of yard & swimming pool. While it’s fairly small (think baby crocodile size), it is very realistic looking & has kept the ducks away. However, it is not very durable. One of the toes is missing, the tail has nearly broken off as is the head. Maybe I’d have been better off keeping it on the edge of the pool rather than floating in the water, but for $55, I would have thought it would remain in tact for longer than a couple months.

Looks real but not too durable!
He looked very real which was great but he is not very durable and was broken easily. We used him in a condominium pool to keep a pair of mating ducks away but children kept breaking him.

Cool Product
This is one of those products you can file away in the category of why did anyone bother to make this? But if your 3-year old son is obsessed with crocodiles, you have a pool, and $67 to spare, you’re psyched someone did. This thing is heavy duty, amazingly detailed and realistic looking, large, and solid. We had a problem where it broke in transit but that was 100% our fault — it’s actually quite robust and it floats like a crocodile should, sort of sneakily. If they made one twice the size, I’d buy it for myself just to scare people.

Crocodile
He’s a bit overpriced for a small garden statue, but I wanted a crocodile to sit near our pool and he is very cute. He has a crack on the underside of his body which does not come thru to the top, but I am guessing he will not last all that long. But cute nonetheless.

This item arrived as expected and packaged to protect it …
This item arrived as expected and packaged to protect it from breaking or becoming scratched. It floats in the pool – I even zip-tied it to my pool vacuum hose to make it move around the pool. I purchased it to see if it would deter the local ducks from coming to my pool from the lake – it worked only briefly and they figured out it was not going to harm them. Just get a large dog – then you won’t have any problems with ducks in your pool.

not to durable
The product arrive in a box that was damaged. When we unpacked it, it looked to be OK, however when we removed the styrofoam from between the jaws the next day, we discovered that the upper jaw was broken. I was able to glue it, so that was ok. The crocodile looks good in the pool, however the paint is coming off in pieces. It does seem to keep the birds away from the pool. I would not recommend it, however because it seems somewhat delicate.

DECOY WORKS TO KEEP AWAY IGUANAS FROM YOUR POOL AREA IN FLORIDA IMMEDIATELY
I had this same decoy Alligator previosly which proved to be an effective deterent. Usually you will see 0 Iguanas. However, if they do come onto your property once they see the Alligator’s teeth floating approaching them, running away is imminent. Expect this product to fade over time from the sun and chlorine. To extend the life take it out during a chlorine treatment. This is my third one. I have bought one a year and then they start to blend in this the color of the water. A good value if you like a clean pool. I wrote this so buyers know how to budget and manage your expectations over time for IN POOL USE.

It’s cute
Note: It’s only about 30” long. The tail broke off- it’s only foam on the inside. It looks pretty authentic, but not durable. Way overpriced. It didn’t scare the geese. It was cute and that’s about it. I would not recommend

It’s a Croc
Indeed, it does look very realistic. The neighbor boy, who mows the lawn, was “surprised!”However, as a decoy it was not successful. The words of the ad are, “[it] may help keep unwanted animals and birds away.” MAY is the operative word here. The raccoons using my pool were mildly amused. I assume they played with it as I found it had been pushed into the pool. Truthfully, I did not expect much because I had been warned the raccoons were smart and those in residential neighborhoods had probably seen all the usual deterrents before.NOTE: I did not give stars relating to “Sheerness,” “Thickness,” or “Warmth.” Although, I did consider stars for “Warmth” as he did seem to be friendly with the raccoons.

Awesome looking
This Croc is awesome looking. I hope it keeps the ducks away from my pool? It was packed well so it arrived like new. I would not consider it to be a toy so I didn’t know how to rate it with the stars? I don’t think I would want kids to play with it because it looks like it would break easy enough. For a pool float or resting on the edge or around a garden it will be great! I am sure it would scare a smaller child. It really does look like a young crocodile.UpDATE 12-6-11….After the summer of hot Cal. sun the croc lost alot of it’s color and he was starting to get damaged from floating and bumping into the edges of the pool so I took him out and he rests by the edge of the pool now. It has kept the ducks away though, I touched him up with a little paint and he is watching over the pool again.

Tail fell off immediately
I got the alligator to float in our pool. I set it in the mulch area and the tail immediately fell off. I just noticed that a foot has also fallen off. Gator is foam inside so hopefully it can be glued. Not sure that he will be pool worthy though. Definitely not very durable.

Did not scare away our swimming pool ducks
The gator is a reasonably good fake, and it seems as advertised, however when we placed it in our West Coast apartment swimming pool, the ducks were unafraid of it. Maybe West Coast ducks aren’t programmed to be afraid of gators? Or maybe they could tell it was fake.

Ducks laughed it off
Pros: lifelike and good material. Cons: The (California) ducks could not care less, but it gave the dog a heart attack. If you want it for decor, go for it. If you want it to keep unwanted birds to enjoy your pool, seek a different solution.

Scares the ducks
I had a problem keeping ducks out of my swimming pool. The inflatable gators worked for a while but the wind would blow them belly-up and the ducks would sit by them. This gator works for me. The ducks won’t even land now and have even stopped coming by. Very realistic looking.

I wish I had a video of the neighbor’s reaction when she walked by the croc! We wish it was a little larger but it is very lifelike.

Croc
This is not at all a suitable toy as I was led to believe. It was advertised as a toy and a pool float, it floats, looks real, but is not a toy. My grandson cut himself on one of the sharp teeth. this should be advertised as an ornamental float only.

Just over the return window time frame. Paint peeled off and into my pool. Cannot use in pool or water. Decorative use only in my opinion. For size and durability this item it way overpriced.
