    I bought 2 alarm clocks at the same time. I use them both to wake up in the morning. This one is fantastic because it will roll away and you have to go chase it down to shut it off.

    I’ve had trouble getting out of bed and getting my day started ever since I hit puberty (15 years ago). This thing actually gets me out of bed!!! I’m a mechanical engineer, and looking at this thing, I can tell you: dropping it 3ft off an end table every day is only going to decrease the life of it, drastically. Unless you have a pillow under it I just don’t see it making it more than 2 years before part of the wheel breaks letting it fall like that.It’s made of plastic and just isn’t made to take a beating like that for an extended time. I set the alarm, and set it on the floor overnight in a different spot each day, and I’ve had incredible luck with it. The clock runs and seems to always find somwhere to hide. Also, the sound of R2-D2 at climax is certainly a sound that gets me out of bed in a rush. The plastic/price is just a trade off. If they went with steel axels and bearings it may last a bit longer, the clock would cost a lot more. Take care of your investment and your new mornings and just set it on the floor each night.

    This is the most amazing ALARM clock EVER!! I have had trouble for years waking up on time…no more with this alarm clock!! You can’t help but jump out of bed to the alien sounds and runaway movements of the clock….it’s annoying at 5am BUT it does what’s it’s suppposed to do…WAKE YOU UP!! I will never live without this clock!!!

    I hate alarm clocks so much that I love them. I always have to choose the loudest and most annoying alarm available to wake me up and this is it. Very easy to set the time and alarm. The instructions are very easy. I set Clocky down on the other side of the bedroom each night and when it goes off I have to get up to turn it off. I have no choice. If you don’t get up this little character will shut off but then start rolling around all over your floor! It’s amazing and I love it.On a side note, my wife hates Clocky. Definitely buy this if you or somebody you know has a hard time waking up.

    I have only used this for a few days, but it actually wakes me up… which, considering I’ve literally slept through 15 alarms before and not remembered, is quite the accomplishment. I wish it had a lock for shutting off the alarm that made it easier just as an extra step for those like me who will go back to bed and sleep.Overall this is exactly as described, and well made. I would suggest it to anyone like me who needs more than a regular alarm.

    I used to use an alarm on my iPad to wake me up everyday. One day, the alarm went off but made no sound, despite the volume being. As such, I was really late to work. Since I did not want a repeat of that problem, I immediately went searching for an alarm clock that would force me to get out of bed to turn it off. This alarm clock does not disappoint. It has a customizable snooze time, and the beeps are slightly different every morning which means I cannot get used to a particular sound over time. It does also flash lights so if you are sensitive to that, you may want to look elsewhere as I don’t know of a way to turn that particular feature off. Some reviews say that it can jump off a space up to 3 feet high, but I have never tested that so I just set it on the floor in a different spot each night. It is not smart enough to go around objects so it will keep backing up and running into the same thing if you have stuff on the floor.Overall, this has been a fantastic choice and I would highly recommend it.

    I purchase Clocky after spending some time looking at lists of best alarm clocks for kids. My 5 year old Kindergartener use to take forever to get out of bed in the morning. With Clocky, so far, he has gotten up every day on his own! He loves the fun element of having to chase it (it usually ends up underneath his bed!). We have it go off from his bed side table (about 3ft high) and so far we haven’t had any issues with durability or functionality .It’s very easy to set the alarm clock time and I like that you can set it to move when it goes off the first time instead of only after you hit snooze. I would definitely give Clocky a try if you’re looking for something to help a deep sleeper get out of bed!
